I tried so hard to listen and write the proper lyrics for those songs without checking the actual lyrics on google. I want to improve my listening skills, so i did this. And i realize it's not always my fault not knowing or grasping the lyrics, but their pronounciation and (i don't know) maybe their artistic vocal choices made the lyrics hard to grab. See, even sometimes native speaker have a hard time to get the lyrics right. But surely, when i was in elementary school, i didn't even know what they were talking/singing. I thought welcome to my life-simple plan is about a man who tell he enjoyed his life and shares his life stories to his friend. More like a happy lyrics with happy music. I was describe this song as a joyful beach song almost like welcome to my paradise-steven and coconuttreez. But now, my view to this songs is different. It's more like a bitter sweet song. It's about a man who tell his misinterpreted by everyone, more like self-confessed. And the missmatch between the lyrics and the music feels bitter to me. Like you're not okay but you still have to smile and think nothing ever happen. That's sucks.

Thanks to my listening skills, now i know the exact meaning of those songs. If i didn't push myself to learn english before, i will still have the same conclusion for those song's about.

I tried really hard to listen and write down the correct lyrics for those songs without checking them on Google. I wanted to improve my listening skills, so I did this. And I realized that it's not always my fault if I can't understand the lyrics—sometimes, the pronunciation or even the artist’s vocal style makes them hard to catch. Even native speakers sometimes struggle to get the lyrics right.

Back when I was in elementary school, I didn’t even know what they were saying or singing about. For example, I used to think Welcome to My Life by Simple Plan was about a man happily sharing his life stories with a friend—more like a cheerful song with happy lyrics and uplifting music. I even described it as a joyful beach song, almost like Welcome to My Paradise by Steven & Coconut Treez.

But now, my perspective on this song is completely different. It feels more like a bittersweet song—about a man who feels misunderstood by everyone, almost like a self-confession. The contrast between the lyrics and the music makes it feel even more bitter, like you're not okay but still have to smile and pretend that nothing’s wrong. That sucks.

Thanks to my improved listening skills, I now understand the true meaning of these songs. If I hadn't pushed myself to learn English, I would still have the same misconceptions about them.
